I've had my Rochie Lipsker wig for a few years now. It was custom made, and the curl is very natural and very similar to my own hair.

Color: The hair color was always a bit warmer than my own hair, and now that it's been two years it has oxidized a lot. It was dyed by Rochie after I asked for adjustments, but was still never perfect.

Construction: It required a lot of fit adjustments, baby hair additions, and removal/re-positioning of wefts after I purchased it; I went to Rochie herself and she took care of it. It still isn't the best-fitting or most comfortable wig, but I'm pretty used to it. It lost a lot of hair in the beginning, but since it was too voluminous for my liking anyway, I was fine with that. The cap is a bit thick and there's not much to do about that. The front is ok but not great; it was officially lace-front but turned out to be a closed lace front, which has a different look.

Hair texture: It has an interesting texture; when freshly washed, the curls are extremely silky and the hair feels very fine - similar to my own. As I wear it between washes the hair becomes rough and dry, and the curl frizzes up. As a result, I prefer the way it looks between washes if I get it blow-dried - which kind of defeats the purpose of a textured, wavy wig. Then as I wear it begins to take on a natural wave. Blow-drying also can damage the hair, so it's likely that this has affected the life-span of the wig.

I'm not thrilled with the wig, though I wear it all the time. I've gotten a lot of compliments on it, but I don't always feel pretty in it. That said, I don't want to bash the company for that; I believe that there are limits to what a company can do about the natural texture and wear of the hair, and I just wasn't aware of the inherent possible issues involved when getting a curly/wavy wig.

Rochie was good to deal with (though difficult to send for repairs and communicate since she speaks mostly Hebrew and is located in Israel). You may have better service if you buy through a Rochie distributor; that said, you may pay more because of that as well.

I likely wouldn't get another wig from her, mainly because I wouldn't go for such a wavy look again. Now that I know that textured wigs require a lot of maintenance and that you need to accept a drier/frizzier look much of the time, I'd rather look for different styles. I believe she sells quality sheitels and for curly hair is one of the best options.

Rochi Lipskier wigs were my first when I was naive. I bought two of them - knotted terribly and hair fell out immediately. After very little wear over a year both wigs are non-wearable , can see the net, hardly any hair, very thin. Customer service was lousy - she doesnt speak english well enough so i was left communicating through my husband who speaks hebrew. It's a hassle getting your sheitel to israel adn back, nobody to talk to. A few of my siblings bought at the same time I did, nobody is happy with their wigs - no body, fell flat, will not hold a setting, and all had serious knotting issues. And nobody got any customer service. money in the garbage, dont get taken for a ride like we did.

Buying a Rochie wig was the best move I've every made. I was nervous about purchasing from her because she's in Israel and I'm in NY, so I didn't know how the wig would turn out. But she really came through with a gorgeous, quality product, and her service- even long distance- is amazing. I've had the sheitel for about 7 months now and she's been here twice since then, and happily serviced the wig for free each time. She really cares that each customer is happy and looks beautiful.
The best part of the wig is the front. Rochie constructs each of her wigs with the hair sewn away from the face so it literally looks like the wig is growing out of my head. I never have to worry about the hair falling in my face and bothering me, even when it's not styled. The baby hairs that she put in (also as part of the sheitel, didn't have to be added) are just the perfect touch for the natural look. I can also pull the hair back completely away from my face, because the lace front extends all the way down to my ears.
The cap is hand-sewn (although not all of her wigs are like this) and the comfort is unsurpassed. It is so light and airy, I can wear it for hours on end without feeling it. The hair is stunning quality- soft, wavy, and shiny. It also means that I can play with the hair as if it's real. I can braid it, put it up in a pony or bun, pin it however I like, as if I'm doing my own hair. The hair is fine and silky but naturally wavy and full so it holds a curl well.
I cannot recommend this company enough. I'll definitely be back for my next purchase.

I recently bought a Rochi. It is my third shaitel after two shevys. I love that my shevys were long and full but at the same time- they were curtaining over my face and too heavy. My rochi wig is full without being heavy, unprocessed natural hair, that has a super thin flat front and is still full of beautiful ashy brown hair. I was hesistant to purchase this wig because Rochi lives in Israel and I'm in New York. She came to help customers three times over the year after i bought it and she has people ship their shaitels and sends them back with in weeks if there are any issues. She is pleasant, sweet, and honest. I HIGHLY recommend buying a rochi if you are looking for a natural front long and full shaitel.

Thinking of Rating A Wig Company?
When leaving your rating or review, please consider the following things:

At Shaytell, we value honesty above all else. Please make sure you have actually had an experience with a specific company before rating them. (This does not mean you had to purchase a wig. It could have been a consultation, a phonecall, a meeting, etc., but you should be commenting on a personal interaction.)

We encourage all reviews: good and bad. We just want you to write about it in a calm way. Try and keep language professional, and think about your review as a means of guiding someone else toward the best company rather than bashing a company you may have had a negative experience with.

Pictures are great. Your review will have most impact if you can show people what you loved or hated about your experience with that vendor!
