Great wig. Very nice hair
For the price i paid, the cap should have been more comfortable.

Pretty happy overall. High quality hair. Had mine for 2 years. Wear it often. Lost hair, but not a crazy amount.

I've had 3 shevys and in my experience they last for around 3-5 years. They do knot easily but they always look great. The cap is the most comfortable over other wig companies. You don't feel like you're wearing anything on your head. Plus the hair never looks dry. I have one that's about 12 inches with bangs, it's been almost 3 years so far, some hair fell out/ less volume but never in my experience did hair fall out from the cap, and it still looks amazing. I got mine cut by Chevy kirschner she was amazing to work with. Really worth the money. Other wigs which are cheaper last 1-2 years and u end up spending the same $$ as a Shevy over the course of 5 years but with duller looking hair.

I love my shevy wigs. The intial cut by Antonio was beautifully done. Even when I felt that a minor recut or touch up was needed the staff was more than accomodating and easy to work with. Customer service is excellent. Sheitel hair was soft. Cap was fixed to fit
My head perfectly. Extremely comfortable to wear- no pulling on hair and no balding from pins/combs. Sheitel life was about 5 yrs.

I recently got two Shevy wigs in Monsey. I was very impressed with the costumer service ! I'm thrilled with my new kippah fall! I feel like I'm not even wearing a wig yet I feel comfortable with the amount of coverage the fall has

I bought my first Shevy before my wedding when I had no experience with wigs. It had beautiful hair and fit comfortably but in my inexperience I chose a colour that needed to be dyed and for my ash-blonde hair that oxidised very quickly. I enjoyed it for close to 4 years (worn alternately with another) although by the end of its run I had some balding patches near both my temples. It was a good wig but I would expect better for the price.
My 2nd Shevy was stunning. The colour, shape, hair, fit, everything was perfect, beautiful, comfortable and very high quality. It lasted brilliantly for 4.5 years at which point it's colour was oxidised and needed dying, and the ends needed a trim, both of which are reasonable for that amount of time. My only regret was that once it was dyed, the white cap turned brown, which was really disappointing. While I still get use out of it, it's lost its perfection, has fallen quite flat, and is more of an errands/exercise wig.
My 3rd Shevy was beautiful, glamorous, etc. I've had it for 2 years and it's holding quite well although showing signs of oxidisation. It cost a fortune though, and is very full and heavy.
The price increased considerably for each of my wigs. They were of comparable length, all blondes, but the first (9 years ago) was 2.4k, the second (5 yrs ago) 3.1k and the third (2 yrs ago) 4k.

My Shevy Wig is the perfect color and style. It's great because it can be air dried wavy, (goes kind of straight after a while) or blown out to what ever I want. It generally holds the style if i don't play with it too much. However, it's very thick so more often than not it falls and gets very, VERY notty. My hairstylist told me that it just needs to be thinned in the back and it will become less notty.

I've bought 4 shevy's over the past 10 years and I have had good experiences with all of them. I currently alternate between a shevy that is 5 years old and a shevy that is 4 years old, and they still look great. I get compliments on them all the time. They have a great front, good body, and nice hair. They do tend to knot at the nape, and for the first 6 months of wearing they can be a bit full - but after some wear they settle and look great. I plan to buy another in the near future! They are pricy and only getting pricier - which is hard, but the upside is they do have a really good lifespan - and I think it a worthwhile investment.
Love this site!
Great idea!

The hair is very thick and heavy so if you want a finer look it's not for you, thinning it doesn't help much. The front only looks natural with bangs. There is itchy short hair in the back (little hairs sewn in). It oxidized very quickly to an orangy color even though they are not supposed to be dyed. It hasn't lost much hair though and I've had it for about 3 years. It does hold a style pretty well. Can't say anything about the customer service because I bought it from a sheitle macher and haven't dealt with them directly.

Wearing my 2 shevys for 5 years. Hair is still great, color stayed nicely. Cap is a little stretched out. Definitely a good investment.

I have a curly wig from shevy, it is now 5 years old and still beautiful BH. It does not have as much hair as when i bought it, which can be normal, but i rarely wear it. As a matter of fact, i havent worn it in a year. I have moved on to another naturally wavy wig thats easy to care for from another company for every day, but i am still happy with using it for special occasions.

I have 3 shevys and I honestly think it depends on luck. They are flat on the head which is great but also very straight. The hair is great but their wigs in general are pretty thick and heavy

Thinking of Rating A Wig Company?
When leaving your rating or review, please consider the following things:

At Shaytell, we value honesty above all else. Please make sure you have actually had an experience with a specific company before rating them. (This does not mean you had to purchase a wig. It could have been a consultation, a phonecall, a meeting, etc., but you should be commenting on a personal interaction.)

We encourage all reviews: good and bad. We just want you to write about it in a calm way. Try and keep language professional, and think about your review as a means of guiding someone else toward the best company rather than bashing a company you may have had a negative experience with.

Pictures are great. Your review will have most impact if you can show people what you loved or hated about your experience with that vendor!
