Ok so at first I thought my two main issues were just me and that I was the problem. But I've spoken now to a few people and they have the same issues! First off the lace on the RX is BEYOND itchy. Turns out others can't wear theirs either because of this. I even folded the lace trying to salvage this but to no avail. Second, it looks very weird on. Gives me and someone else I know that has it a conehead. I will say though the hair is stunning. It's the best quality hair in that pricerange

I purchased a Soie wig, which is Renaissance's high end line with a lace front. Since the beginning, the wig was a lemon. It took the company weeks for it to be ready. Once it was ready and I got it cut and styled, it wasn't done properly. The hairline on the lace front was not cut according to my hairline and it looks harsh and unnatural. The color wasn't done well either. The wig was also missing some wefts since I could see the scalp. The company tried to fix it but adding wefts three separate times, they tried fixing the lace, adding baby hairs (or so they said) but the wig was just bad quality and didn't fit well. When they sent me the wig with repairs the first time, the wefts were not fixed and I could still see the scalp. They had to do this three times in order to fix it properly. I don't understand how a company can add hair to cover the scalp, yet not look at their work to make sure it was done properly. When they sent it back to me the second time, the same thing happened - the wefts were still not enough and I could see the scalp, along with other issues the wig had. The company said they added baby hairs multiple times. However, when I went to wash the wig, none of the sheitle machers can see the baby hairs. It seems work was not done properly. They also cut the lace poorly but at this point, there is nothing they could do, except "add baby hairs", which are not visible.
The wig is poorly made, slides off my head and the lace doesn't look natural at all. It looks nothing like the pictures they post on instagram or facebook. I do not know what they do to the wig when they are in instagram, but the wig looks nothing like they advertise.
stay away from Renaissance. They charge the same price as other premium lace tops and lace front companies but their wigs are terrible and are not worth anything what they charge!

I bought this wig secondhand and have had it for about a year. For obvious reasons, I can't comment on wig lifespan (or customer service), since I don't know precisely how old it is. I'm very happy with it and get a lot of compliments on it. My head is a little hard to fit, and this cap is great for me in a size large. No headaches or pulling. I spent a long time looking and this wig was kind of a unicorn for me- nice color, high-end hair, long length without weight.
Pros: Very lightweight (even this piece, which is 25"), comfortable cap, shiny and smooth hair, natural looking density, works well with a relaxed and tousled look
Cons: Not for those who want tons of volume. Superfine hair has a tendency to split eventually, but this is a con with most brands.
The only reason I'm withholding the fifth star is because no wig is 100% perfect, but this comes pretty close.

I love my Renaissance. It is a gorgeous and comfortable wig. The hair is completely unprocessed and just stunning. I have a large head, and the stretch cap is very comfortable. I've never dealt directly with the company before, so I cannot review their customer service. My one complaint is that the hair is a bit thin, but that helps it look more realistic.

Thinking of Rating A Wig Company?
When leaving your rating or review, please consider the following things:

At Shaytell, we value honesty above all else. Please make sure you have actually had an experience with a specific company before rating them. (This does not mean you had to purchase a wig. It could have been a consultation, a phonecall, a meeting, etc., but you should be commenting on a personal interaction.)

We encourage all reviews: good and bad. We just want you to write about it in a calm way. Try and keep language professional, and think about your review as a means of guiding someone else toward the best company rather than bashing a company you may have had a negative experience with.

Pictures are great. Your review will have most impact if you can show people what you loved or hated about your experience with that vendor!
