Horrible customer service - to spend thousands of dollars (3 k or more) in a store, i really expect to be treated nicely, not rushed. she wanted to upsell me the whole way and didnt really care what I was looking for or how it fit me, or really helped me find something that really suited me personally. i felt like a numnbr more to her. she charges for every single thing she has to do or fix even within the warranty period. its pure hype. she is overpriced and has no customer service skills. The lady who does the coloring is a different lady and you have to make special appointment to come back to her. horrible customer service as well. the cut seemed rushed and no personalized attention and counsel. overall super disapointment and i felt she was constantly trying to upsell me and was greedy.

My prestigio is 5 years old and still gorgeous and curly and so light yet not frizzy. I love it.

I purchased a full sheitel about three weeks ago. The process in store was fine. The cut felt a little rushed and I didn’t think she helped, it was more like she asked what I wanted and would do it but if you’re looking for input you won’t get it. I called two weeks after to say that the front bangs needed some adjustment and I was told I would have to pay for a full price cut. It was an $1800 sheitel and bangs can sometimes need to be tweaked once you’re actually wearing it everyday so I can’t believe they would try to charge me for a full cut. The hair itself dries curly and I was told it was naturally curly but it’s clearly permed. Knots very very easily from nothing, the second I leave the house the back is in knots. I’m much much happier overall with my sheina wig which was $450, better curls, and doesn’t knot nearly as easily. This was the first really expensive sheitel I’ve ever bought and start to finish it was a waste of hard saved money.

Do not buy a prestigio! Yes I know, real European hair for such a good price...but its really not worth it. I bought a prestigio thinking wow, but a month later when a quarter of hair fell out I was very disappointed. I sent it back to get fixed. Only to get it returned with less hair. And this time twice the amount was falling out. I contacted her again. But she was unwilling to fix it. So now I'm stuck with a wig that has 50% less hair than it originally had. If I had known this from the beginning I would have spent more money on a better quality wig. Don't make the same mistake.

I bought an elite prestigio wig because of the beautiful hair on that line. Soon after, i started finding loose wefts, and strange things happening to the hairline, When i brought the wig back ( i was still within my 6 month warranty) she denied the front was a problem, and took 3 weeks for the wefts to be fixed. When it finally came back she once again brushed off my comments about the hairline hairs being poorly sewn and i have since had a couple more loose wefts. All in all, not the best wig experience . I advise you inspect every inch of the wig before you buy one.

Thinking of Rating A Wig Company?
When leaving your rating or review, please consider the following things:

At Shaytell, we value honesty above all else. Please make sure you have actually had an experience with a specific company before rating them. (This does not mean you had to purchase a wig. It could have been a consultation, a phonecall, a meeting, etc., but you should be commenting on a personal interaction.)

We encourage all reviews: good and bad. We just want you to write about it in a calm way. Try and keep language professional, and think about your review as a means of guiding someone else toward the best company rather than bashing a company you may have had a negative experience with.

Pictures are great. Your review will have most impact if you can show people what you loved or hated about your experience with that vendor!
