I did not end up buying a shetl here, and their customer service is mainly the reason why. I made an appt, came in from out of state and got exactly three minutes of undivided attention the entire 30 min I was there. I left much earlier than anticipated because I was sick of trying to get the shetl macher to pay attention to me. I brought my non-Jewish friend with me, and she asked me afterward if it's normal for frum Jews to act that way. I did find a wig that was a pretty good fit, but the sales person barely wanted to take time with me to help me feel comfortable with the very big purchase and answer my questions. I felt guilty for taking her time away. Maybe I looked like I wasn't wealthy enough to buy a wig (which is not true, I definitely was seriously considering it), no matter what, I would only send people there with a warning of what to expect. Yes, nice selection, nice hair, nice caps, poor service.

I went with a friend to buy my first wig at Shuly's of BP, the lady who assisted me was very nice and helped me find a piece that was exactly my color and for a great price! I was very happy so I left it there for some rooting and baby hair and came a later day for the cut. The wig looked darker but I was assured it was only because of the 1" rooting I requested. I asked for a bit of a "different" cut, however I was given the typical BP cut with big bottle curls which I specifically requested not to have. The sales ladies were nice and made me "feel better" about it and took my picture for their instagram. I still wasn't feeling great about the color but let it go, knowing nothing about wigs. A few days later, someone asked for the color and they replied it was a darker color. I thought there could have been a mistake but didnt want to accuse so asked on social media without quoting their name. They found my post and sent me an extremely nasty fb message accusing me of libel when I was just trying to ask if I might be wrong to assume such a reputable company would give another piece. I called them, trying to fix the situation and they yelled at me to the point of making me cry.
I got my wig and dyed it to the color I wanted by a great shaitel macher who does a beautiful job and I get lots of compliments on it. The wig is very comfortable.
I have not gone back to know what their service is like after-sale although I did hear good things about them.
Would I buy another shevy? Maybe, because I am happy with the one I have, but it definitely will not by their main branch.

Thinking of Rating A Wig Company?
When leaving your rating or review, please consider the following things:

At Shaytell, we value honesty above all else. Please make sure you have actually had an experience with a specific company before rating them. (This does not mean you had to purchase a wig. It could have been a consultation, a phonecall, a meeting, etc., but you should be commenting on a personal interaction.)

We encourage all reviews: good and bad. We just want you to write about it in a calm way. Try and keep language professional, and think about your review as a means of guiding someone else toward the best company rather than bashing a company you may have had a negative experience with.

Pictures are great. Your review will have most impact if you can show people what you loved or hated about your experience with that vendor!
