I have a Shuly that's a year and a half old. When I first got it it looked nice. However the hair falls out like crazy. I maintain it very well and take good care of it and the cap is starting to show all over. It doesn't look like a good quality wig to be honest. It is very comfortable but does slide around even with velvet bands. It has the ability to look good if I spend a lot of money and time on it by adding hair, coloring and styling it. The hair doesn't hold a curl at all so it needs extra TLC. I live out of town so every time I sent it in to Shuly within the first year which had a warranty, I had to pay around $100 in shipping fees, there and back, and the wig didn't come back looking much better. Im not even sure what to do with it at this point because it's starting to look pretty bad on.

I got 2 wigs as a kalla and they were super nice and helpful. The wigs were actually terrible though. One is simple unwearable (I've worn it maybe 4 times total and that's immediately after it's been styled and for a short time) and the other one is only a little better but certainly doesn't hold any sort of style. When I called them and told them I was really unhappy they told me that my 30 days were up and I would have to keep them but I could get them styled there and maybe it would help. Since I don't live in New York it doesn't. I really wanted to like them and since k wear my wig every day it's pretty sad that it's really not a nice one but I can't get another one at this point. I even brought them into other professionals who told me that they were really not good wigs (poor hair quality and construction). Maybe I simply fell on 2 bad ones but I wouldn't recommend them.

I bought an iband that is supposed to make it look like the hair is coming out of your head. It looks like a very obvious piece of lace and wig on my forehead. It looks very stupid and unreal. They told me to put makeup on it just to make the edges fade into my face. Did not work. Just makes it look even more obvious. After coming back many times to have it fixed, I finally left with my 300$ purchase for something that looks terrible on me. They just want to make the sale. Even if you don't look good they will swear you look amazing.

Been wearing wigs for 9 years. Had Shevy, Freida, Shaina, and a Shuly.
My Shuly experience stood out, unfortunately not for good reasons. The hair was awful and became very coarse and split soon after I bought it, the cap was awkwardly constructed and made my head shape a bit strange, and hair kept falling out. After 1.5 years, there were bald patches in places, and I needed to add hair.
When I came to Shuly, my experience at their salon was very unpleasant, and I was told I would have to pay for any added hair, as their warrantee covered only 12 months. Even with the added hair I only had another year of regular (alternating) wear from that sheitel until it was too wrecked to wear. This in comparison to a Shevy of the same length and price which lasted me 5+ years of very similar wear.
For the price of a Shuly, the quality of the wig and the level of service was simply subpar in every way. I would not buy a Shuly again.

I was told that I was buying a naturally curly wig. It was very disappointing to find out by a professional that it was permed.

Hair looks nice but hairline didn't look natural until I had my wig salon work on it to add a lot of baby hairs. Wig is more of a flat wig than a full wig with volume and pretty thin and hair falls out when brushing gently. Dealing with customer service is like talking to a brick wall.

Thinking of Rating A Wig Company?
When leaving your rating or review, please consider the following things:

At Shaytell, we value honesty above all else. Please make sure you have actually had an experience with a specific company before rating them. (This does not mean you had to purchase a wig. It could have been a consultation, a phonecall, a meeting, etc., but you should be commenting on a personal interaction.)

We encourage all reviews: good and bad. We just want you to write about it in a calm way. Try and keep language professional, and think about your review as a means of guiding someone else toward the best company rather than bashing a company you may have had a negative experience with.

Pictures are great. Your review will have most impact if you can show people what you loved or hated about your experience with that vendor!
