I bought to Shevy's when I got married - one was a fall, one a full sheital. I expected to wear the fall every day, but I just couldn't. It was so embarrassing working in a law firm and having to run to the bathroom every ten minutes because it kept slipping off my head. I did everything they suggested: i clipped it to my head, i wore a wig grip, i clipped the sheital to the wig grip. To this day when I wear it, i add extra bobby pins right behind my ear so that it doesn't fall off. For the $1600 I paid, it's really a shame. I never want to wear it.
The second one I bought was a full sheital. I love the hair on it, but the sheital macher in Far Rockaway cut the ear flaps out but didn't cut it enough and now they dig in to my ears every time I wear it. The nice thing is that each and every time I wear it someone asks me if I got a new sheital - and while i do like the compliments, it hurts to much to wear it! It's also disappointing that no matter where you go with this Shevy - whether to the actual store or someone who sells it, they charge you for their mistakes.

I spent $3,400 on a blonde Shevy that I got right before I was married. I paid more for the thicker version because it was a better color. They thinned it out way too much and it seemed to keep loosing hair. So much so that when I get my sheitel curled you can see the cap. It did feel great at first, but would get super knotty in the back and the hair would fall out. Within two years I have dead ends on every piece of hair and even when cut they come right back few weeks later.

I wish you could say you get what you pay for, but with Shevy you pay a lot and do not get much back in return.
Don't even bother walking in unless you're with one of their sheitel macher sellers - you will be ignored.
Bought a wig I was convinced was my base color but that they would add highlights for me. I wish I would have known they would charge me for those.
Then after less than 2 years, the hair turned pink!
When I brought it back to Shevy, they said they would "fix it" for me - which they made me pay for. When I got the wig back it was a darker brown color. Ugh what a nightmare.

My shevy was my First wig and i regret It so badly. It cost me $3500 , It wasnt The length i wanted , neither The hair color but They convinced me The color was right for me . My wig was pretty for a few months , after that It Turned orange and lost so much hair + développed an ennormous amount of dead hair . It last me a year and then i felt like i was wearing a mop. Definately not worth The price.

I paid almost $4000 for my shevy wig and I hate it. It's so uncomfortable and heavy on my head. The hair knots easily and looked limp after a year. Not worth the money !

Had problems with the wig from day one. Terrible knotting. Split ends pretty early on. Each time the company had me send it back to them. The third time it even went back to china. Nothing helped. I paid top dollar for a
Shevy elite. Two years into it i brought to the brooklyn store and they ended up charging me $600 to add new hair and dye it. When i picked it up it was the exact same reddish color it had been before. They offered me some lame excuse about not killing the red but never offered to refund me the $100 they charged me to basically do nothing. It looked amazing for about 3-6 months but 9 months later is FULL of split ends again. Customer service was pretty bad because they never solved the problem or took responsibility. Would never pay that kind of money on a shevy again!

I purchased my Shevy 6 years ago. The cap never fit right or comfortably making me self concious to wear it.. The hair quaility is good., I've reached out to them many times but because of the distance has been hard to communicate with the company.

I wore my Shevy for about 2 years. The hair was nice but thats about it. The wig oxidized very quickly. The cap was uncomfortable and gave me a bald spot. It did not look natural. I would never buy a Shevy again.

My first shevy I've had for almost 10yrs.its always knotted and the customer service is ridiculously rude and completely unhelpful. I spoke with Elan, Shevys husband and I seriously could not believe the rudeness and complete lack of care.that being said the first 5 yrs it definitely held up beautifully albeit oxodized quickly.now that its 10 yrs old it doesn't hold a curl, it gets oily looking but its still wearable 10 yes later.I wouldn't buy another BC I was never happy with how.lmuch it knotted on the bottom and the customer service was so horrendous I've been searching for something better.if you do buy a shevy deifintely don't buy it directly from shevy like I did find a Shaitel macher that will stand behind your Shaitel.

Thinking of Rating A Wig Company?
When leaving your rating or review, please consider the following things:

At Shaytell, we value honesty above all else. Please make sure you have actually had an experience with a specific company before rating them. (This does not mean you had to purchase a wig. It could have been a consultation, a phonecall, a meeting, etc., but you should be commenting on a personal interaction.)

We encourage all reviews: good and bad. We just want you to write about it in a calm way. Try and keep language professional, and think about your review as a means of guiding someone else toward the best company rather than bashing a company you may have had a negative experience with.

Pictures are great. Your review will have most impact if you can show people what you loved or hated about your experience with that vendor!
