My fall is an Irene, and I literally live in it!!! The hair is straight but has some texture towards the ends so I can wear it straight or wavy and holds up fairly well. So far I haven't had any issues with knotting and I purchased it about 4 months ago. They will definitely be my go to for my next wig!

I've been using Irene's for 5 years now, and I couldn't be more happy with all of my wigs. A couple of months ago I finally purchased my first Lacetop and the staff couldn't have been more helpful on answering all of my questions. I'm blown away with how natural my new lace wig looks!

Ought an Irene wig and was immediately disappointed with it the hair is dry and the wig feels like straw , there is really no one to talk to over there there are many staff working there yet no one is helpful or even friendly , irenes staff is unprofessional they don’t know anything about wigs they are not trained to deal with the Jewish client and what they need . Giving Irene wigs thumbs down
Dont waist your money on them

Can’t even explain how bad their customer service is , I hope that Irene herself will see all the bad reviews that she is getting , and get rid of her bad staff that is getting customers to not want to buy or come back ,
Mrs Irene please check your staff they are not doing a good job in fact they are sending your customers away your staff can be good as housekeepers but not as professional hair stylist or sell your wigs . I am not the only one who feels this way snout your wig store , the environment when walking into your wig store is very cold and unprofessional, the wigs that are displayed I. Your store are old looking and dry hair , it’s a shame you are loosing slot of customers

Horrible terrible customer service
The girls that work there know nothing about wigs , when you walk into Irene shop you feel like your walking into a dr office not s Hair salon wig store , the workers there are not friendly or helpful you are basically on your own and mind you , you don’t feel comfortable even trying on any wigs , you get yelled at if you move an inch away from where they tell you to stay or if you touch any wigs on the display , plus the wigs that are shown to you feel dry and old , would not go there again or waste my money on their wigs

I’m not from out of town , I had gone into Irene for a platinum blonde wig. Like others have mentioned , some of the people that work there are really unfriendly and not professional nor helpful . I was lucky to have bumped into christy who was soooo nice and helpful. Sadly they didn’t have any platinum blondes when i went and I didn’t end up finding anything . They were flexible with making a deal /bargaining and they have better prices than other wig brands in general so I would have liked to have found something but it didn’t workout . Oddly, a custom wig from Irene was impossible to place an order for as they didn’t know when they’d receive anything and their company was backed up so that wasn’t an option.
Buying directly from them makes the wig cheaper as opposed to a shaitel macher who will up the price Which to me isn’t worth it. Irene doesny seem like they’d have the best customer service for after care and it could be risky buying from them but for the price it could be worth the gamble . Moreover , dyeing wigs platinum or lighter does not always take well from what I’ve seen and could turn red , so what you see is what you get. If you go to the BRooklyn location ask for christy she was the best and helpful .

I bought a wig from Irene and with a few days it was knotting terribly. I sent it back to Irene after a month of wear. I didn’t hear back for 6 weeks. When they sent the wig back, they told me the knotting was my fault as I hadn’t washed it enough. This is completely untrue. When I have the wig washed it will be knotty with a day, and it’s so bad I can’t put my fingers through.

So personally I would never buy an Irene again. The customer service is awful! The only positives I can think of is that the wig is very full and holds a curl really well.

Really really happy with my Irene. Got an original 3+ years ago, and although after about 1.5 years he hair definitely lost some of its bounce and fullness I can still wear it and get tons of compliments. For the price you pay it’s a great buy! They have great color blends and the color and hair really lasts if you send to responsibile shaitel Machers. Would 100% recommend

I got my Irene wig at a sale in Boro Park. It was $675 for a very long (26"? Maybe?) dark brown human hair wig; I'm not sure what line it is because it was totally insane when I was in there and my aunt who is a shaitelmacher helped me rather than the people working. Anyway I had it cut by a stylist elsewhere, which was $200. The wig is just okay. It has split ends and I've only had it for 6mo (though the split ends began months ago). The color is holding up; it hasn't oxidized yet even though it's quite dark and I wear it to work 5 days a week. I am not the type that gets my shaitel styled; I wash and dry it myself and that was fine til I deep conditioned one day and quite a lot of hair was pulled out in the brushing process, which has never happened before. This is okay though because it didn't come out in clumps and the wig is quite heavy; I would say each strand of hair is 3x as thick as my actual hair, which I'm not a huge fan of but oh well. Overall, this wig works for work... I'd like to get a lace front band for it to make it look more real. My Yaffa wig, which was $2,000 and looks way more natural and is lighter in feel, was definitely a better investment though.

If you still have the Irene wig you left a review on the tag should say what line it is. VIP is European, dolce is Brazilian if it’s not these two they also have a Mongolian hair line.

The wig itself is beautiful and comfortable. I would suggest buying it through a shaitel macher that you trust and will be willing to help you if there are any issues as the customer service of the Irene company is terrible.

Wig is very pretty for the price, but hair is very rough, straw-like and oxidized after a year and half. I know that's worth it if you have $1000 to pay every year or so, but I don't. I would definitely recommend it to someone who wants an affordable sheitel for just shabbos or to wear occasionally. But for someone who is buying cheaper because they're actually on a serious budget, which means having to wear an Irene occasionally during the week and every shabbos, I would not recommend as an investment.

The waves stay really well when curled, wig color is the same and even though its 18 months old it almost looks like new. Really recommend Irene's especially if you want a long wig, they have a large selection. I'll be back there for my next wig 😉

I purchased an Irene Kippah fall. I was disappointed with the hair and the cut that I got at their salon. The woman who cut the wig berated me for not knowing exactly what I wanted. She them proceeded to chop it and not it is un-wearable. I paid almost 900 total and the wig looks like a mop on top of my head. I so sick over this purchase. The customer service was less than stellar. I will never go back.

I paid around $1000 and had to fix it THREE times already and spent over $600 already . I went to the place where I bought it after six months and they said that they don't stand behind there wig and in order to fix it, it will be $500.
Will NEVER recommend this brand to anyone

bought for my daughter 2 Irenes and one for myself for my daughters wedding. My Daughter also has a Noe Wig and her both Irenes are way better and nicer than the pricey Noe.
Its basically all Mazel. For the price and quality Irenes and Miri Wigs are they way to go!!!

I came close to purchasing, but I am glad I did not. While the price was tempting, the customer service was awful. The ladies who were selling were not helpful at all and at times were outright obnoxious. I would not be able to deal with such service had i decided to purchase.

I got an Irene about 2-3 years ago. I paid on k you 400 including the cut which was great for me. I made them take it back when I complained that the wig gets knotty 2 minutes after I put it on. It also had split ends. They ended up replacing it and recutting a new one at no charge which was great. But it took a lot of yelling to get him to even take it back. The new wig fits beautifully and I can wear it all day, the cap is that comfortable. But the hair is terrible! It doesn't hold a curl for more than 2 days and I got the courses one because he told me it would last longer. Instead it falls and looks so dry and like I haven't washed it in weeks. I didn't bother to complain because I saw what the customer service was like the first time. Since it was only 400 it wasn't worth the agmas nefesh to complain.

Love this wig! So comfortable I barely feel it. Hair holds style, color is amazing, and really feels great. Can't say anything about lasting or customer service because I haven't had any issues so far (it's only 6 months old). Very happy with the wig.

Thinking of Rating A Wig Company?
When leaving your rating or review, please consider the following things:

At Shaytell, we value honesty above all else. Please make sure you have actually had an experience with a specific company before rating them. (This does not mean you had to purchase a wig. It could have been a consultation, a phonecall, a meeting, etc., but you should be commenting on a personal interaction.)

We encourage all reviews: good and bad. We just want you to write about it in a calm way. Try and keep language professional, and think about your review as a means of guiding someone else toward the best company rather than bashing a company you may have had a negative experience with.

Pictures are great. Your review will have most impact if you can show people what you loved or hated about your experience with that vendor!
