I got my Irene wig at a sale in Boro Park. It was $675 for a very long (26"? Maybe?) dark brown human hair wig; I'm not sure what line it is because it was totally insane when I was in there and my aunt who is a shaitelmacher helped me rather than the people working. Anyway I had it cut by a stylist elsewhere, which was $200. The wig is just okay. It has split ends and I've only had it for 6mo (though the split ends began months ago). The color is holding up; it hasn't oxidized yet even though it's quite dark and I wear it to work 5 days a week. I am not the type that gets my shaitel styled; I wash and dry it myself and that was fine til I deep conditioned one day and quite a lot of hair was pulled out in the brushing process, which has never happened before. This is okay though because it didn't come out in clumps and the wig is quite heavy; I would say each strand of hair is 3x as thick as my actual hair, which I'm not a huge fan of but oh well. Overall, this wig works for work... I'd like to get a lace front band for it to make it look more real. My Yaffa wig, which was $2,000 and looks way more natural and is lighter in feel, was definitely a better investment though.

Wig is very pretty for the price, but hair is very rough, straw-like and oxidized after a year and half. I know that's worth it if you have $1000 to pay every year or so, but I don't. I would definitely recommend it to someone who wants an affordable sheitel for just shabbos or to wear occasionally. But for someone who is buying cheaper because they're actually on a serious budget, which means having to wear an Irene occasionally during the week and every shabbos, I would not recommend as an investment.

Ok product for the price. Being from the states though i normally would never pay this much! 1300 plus canadian!! Best price for this kind of product around here sadly enough.
Hair is ok looking but gets knottier than any other wig ive had.
Thought style would hold better. I got a thinner longer one so it shouldnt be that heavy.
I will cut it and hope that its easier to manage.
Cap is comfy though its a medium so it doesnt fit my head snug like id like it to.
Ill need to do some work but overall im 75% satisfied so far.
Just bought it so i cant say how well it lasts. But i think it depends how often one wears a long wig like this.
I normally wear a short, "easy" one

I bought my Irene for $800 with cut. It is long processed hair (about 22 inches). For the price, I really can't complain. I have worn it once or twice a week for the last two years and it has held up very nicely.
Pros: nice hair for the price, breathable cap, no knotting, dyed beautifully, price was on point
Cons: hair doesn't hold curls or hair style well, hair is very heavy so wig starts to slip

Thinking of Rating A Wig Company?
When leaving your rating or review, please consider the following things:

At Shaytell, we value honesty above all else. Please make sure you have actually had an experience with a specific company before rating them. (This does not mean you had to purchase a wig. It could have been a consultation, a phonecall, a meeting, etc., but you should be commenting on a personal interaction.)

We encourage all reviews: good and bad. We just want you to write about it in a calm way. Try and keep language professional, and think about your review as a means of guiding someone else toward the best company rather than bashing a company you may have had a negative experience with.

Pictures are great. Your review will have most impact if you can show people what you loved or hated about your experience with that vendor!
